Melissa and Charlie’s e-session at Waikuku Beach
Engagement photography by Christchurch wedding photographer, Anthony Turnham
Some people go to great lengths for their engagement photos, but I think the dedication from Melissa and Charlie to make it work is unrivaled. Melissa sorted out a baby sitter and made the long drive over from the West Coast whilst Charlie flew down from the North Island. So even though it was bitterly cold on the beach and the weather was dull and dreary there was no way we weren’t going to get out there and get some shots!
We all got on great and despite these guys starting out with the usual fear of being photographed, by the end of the shoot they were rocking it like pros.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting such wonderful couples already this season and feel very lucky to have such awesome clients. I can’t wait to go and kick it with these two at their wedding in Hanmer in March.
Below are just a few teaser shots from their engagement session at Waikuku beach and the surrounding area.
It was a cold cold coooold day. So I have to hand it to Melissa braving the temperature in the name of getting good photos. Maximum respect!
She and Charlie just looked so good together!
One of the great things about the area around Waikuku is that within a short walk you’re in a brand new environment. This forest is just behind the sand dunes.
Charlie played the hero as he wrapped Melissa up in his jacket to help keep her warm.
Towards the end of our session Melissa switched things up in a new outfit and took it to a whole nother level.
And what better way to wrap things up than with a good old reflection shot. Great session guys. I’m really looking forward to putting your guestbook together.
