Marie and Nick’s Engagement photos at Christchurch Botanic Gardens

Marie and Nick

Engagement photography by Christchurch wedding photographer, Anthony Turnham

As we say goodbye to the winter and hello to spring, I kicked off our engagement photo sessions with the lovely Marie and Nick. From our first phone conversation I knew I was going to love Marie and Nick. And I was absolutely right!

We met at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens and took a stroll in the gorgeous afternoon sunshine, just chatting and getting to know each other better.  Of course along the way we took the opportunity to get a whole heap of images of this lovely couple.

It really struck me just how much love, respect and gratitude they have for each other.

Below is a small selection of photos from our shoot together.

Nick and Marie’s dedication to getting great photos was amazing, and this was exemplified when Nick took his shoes and socks off wading out to a small island whilst carrying Marie piggyback style. Awesome work!

Not only do Marie and Nick look super cute together – turns out they also do “cool” very well too!

Marie and Nick were after an image for their wall where they were in the shot but just a part of the scene. When Nick waded them both out to a tiny island in this pond it made for the ideal opportunity!
